.....he combines down-to-earth snapshots of their everyday lives, revolving around their lifestyle of fishing, music, goat-herding and bee-keeping, and the tourist industry, along with subtly insightful, vivid, and poignant character sketches that imply so much more than what is beyond the line. .....
What touches me most about this book is the heartfelt straightfowardness of the language, the descriptions, and the emotions. There are images that really remain with the reader long after the page has been turned, for the way they are rendered as much as for the content itself
